Boris Kodjoe Shows His Fans Appreciation on Twitter During the NBA Finals

13 Jun

Portrait from castingdb.eu

Just when you think celebrities where lacking in humility and unavailable, this famous Pisces proves us wrong.  Yesterday during the Thunder vs. Heat game (NBA Finals) Boris, who I have loved since his “Soul Food” days, went crazy on Twitter giving recognition to majority of fans.  I was one of them (click link below).  After tweeting a picture I took with him in 2009 out side of club LIV in Miami’s Fountainebleau hotel the star gave me a quick shot out.  Follow him @BorisKodjoe and maybe you too can be blessed with the rare experience.

Recap on Single Ladies Season 2 Episode 2 ‘I Didn’t Mean to Turn You On’

6 Jun

Single Ladies (Left to right: April, Rochelle, Kisha)

The show begins with the girls hanging out at the skating rink. While skating, April bumps into a hot guy named Jason. At the same venue, when trying to withdraw money from the ATM, Kisha discovers the IRS has emptied her account. With the financial problems Kisha is going through , Rochelle agrees to help with Valerie’s boutique. At the boutique, Rochelle’s mother Evelyn, gives her grief about quitting her job and stresses her to patch things up with her ex fiancé Victor.

While April goes for her annual pap smear and is astonished to see that her doctor is Jason, Rochelle reunites with Antonio, her first, during a visit to her family’s horse ranch. Rochelle confesses to Kisha that it didn’t last with Antonio due to difference in social class.

Later Kisha meets up with her lawyer and ex, Sean, to talk about Malcolm and her financial woes. When Sean tries to mix business with pleasure, Kisha turns him down.

Back at the ranch, Rochelle and Antonio meet for lunch. In the midst of getting hot and heavy, Evelyn catches them in the act. Rochelle confronts her mother about her control issues and introduces the “New Rochelle” who plans to buy Valerie’s boutique.

In the meantime, on her date with Jason the gynecologist, April gets a compliment on her “cookie” (vagina). He then offers to order food for her that would make her delicate part taste sweeter.

After Rochelle announces to Kisha that she is buying the boutique, Omar’s boyfriend brings their baby, a dog, for him to babysit. April then shares the compliment she received . Out of curiosity, the gang takes a peak at April’s cookie and they find themselves in agreement with Jason.

At Kisha‘s condo, Sean meets her for breakfast to discuss the case and their past. He offers to make some of her payments. Unexpectedly, Malcolm makes an appearance. He isn’t to happy to see Sean there. When Kisha informs Malcolm that Sean is helping her with a payment plan, Malcolm agrees to pay all her fees. The scene is concluded with all of them continuing breakfast together.
.
When April meets up with the Jason again, he is ready to literally dine in on her. After hot passion and being pleased, April wants to know what she can do for him. He requests her to shave it all off, and she concurs. During girl talk at the boutique, Sean comes to update Kisha on the conclusion of her case. Since business is over , Sean recommends that they give it another shot. When Kisha says no, he gives her a kiss to confuse her even more.

As Rochelle finally gets to relive her first time with Antonio, Jason comes to April’s place unannounced with a kegal massager as a gift. This proves Jason’s obsession with the cookie and triggers April to break it off with him.

During the conclusion , Rochelle partners up with rapper and fashion designer Eve and buys Valerie’s store. The gang makes a toast to taking risk and being in control of their own destinies. In closing, another disaster unfolds with Malcolm still supporting his ex wife, Ashley, with large sums of money.

Today on “The Love Hour” from 6-8pm: 21+ Questions about Love and Sex

10 Apr

Last we after the cheating show, the radio crew and I headed over to McGovern’s for some drinks, food, and great conversation.  Once we got there and were in the midst of a good time, I had the great idea of going around in a circle and asking everyone the same question.  When the hour two questions arose:

1. What is your favorite feature on a man/woman?

2. What is your most shallowest turn off?

The questions definitely varied and were quite entertaining. Since I thought it was so much fun I figured we make it the theme of today on The Love Hour.  It will be similar to 1 Girl and 5 Gays a show on Logo, and MTV Network. However, today’s show will cater to all sexualities.

Expect questions like the following:

– If you had a sexual “to-do” list, what would be on top of the list?

– What’s the dirtiest text message you’ve ever received?

…and so much more!!

Accompanying us on the topic will be Chris Black,an inspiring rapper on the rise.  His song will be featured throughout the show.

As usual, before the questions begin, we will discuss our sexy zodiac signs, some celebrity buzz, and end the show with a Love Thought of the day.

To tune in go to wrnu.info and click LISTEN LIVE!  If want to answer a question or ask one yourself, call in at 973 353 5746 to be on air.

Intellectual Foreplay To Be Discussed Today on “The Love Hour” from 6-8pm

Heart Talk Radio Blog

Have you ever noticed that we tend to choose our partners by “looks good” or “feels good” only to wake up in the midst of relationships that really aren’t good?! One of the biggest mistakes we make at the beginning of a relationship is not asking enough questions. We tend to ask more questions about a car we are buying than about a lover, potential life mate or parent to our children.

When taking on any other endeavor—a business relationship, buying a house or appliances—we wisely ask a whole host of questions to ensure that we make the right choice. Can you imagine buying a house because it looks good and feels good without examining the costs, the condition of the property, serious damage, needed repairs, your readiness to move, your commitment to the payments, the previous owner’s readiness to sell, what the neighbors are like, and on and on?…

Heidi and Seal are No More!

23 Jan

It is official.  The glorified pair, Heidi and Seal, the gazelle and songbird, has casually called it quits. This comes as a shocker to most since this newly separated couple had a reputation for finding new ways to put their love on display for the world to see.

Whether they were getting hot in heavy in Seal’s music video for the single “Secret,” performing a duet at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show, annually renewing their vows of their seven-year marriage, or spotted with their four kids, their union looked unbreakable.

The Today Show even reported to Heidi having a tattoo of Seal’s name, symbolizing her commitment to him.  Matt Lauer of the Today Show jokingly said Heidi has the option of being a spokesperson for Sealy’s Mattresses.

When justifying the split, it was reported to be unanimous among the two that they have grown apart.  However, TMZ says this is not the case.

According to the entertainment news medium, it was Seal’s temper and career differences that drove this couple to disaster.

Regardless of what caused the demise of the Heidi and Seal reign, the age old lesson to be learned in this situation is not to judge a book by its cover because everything that glitters ain’t gold.

Take it From Martin & Gina

18 Apr

Martin & Gina

Martin and Gina from the 90′s FOX sitcom, Martin, made a showcase of how a young couple should navigate through life as a unit.

Just like Clair and Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable of the Cosby Show, Martin and Gina exemplified the positive black couple.

However Martin and Gina, unlike the Huxtables, can resonate for years to come that it is possible to be hip, fun, professional and undoubtedly devoted to your significant other.

Gina was the college educated career woman who came from a two parent household. She was an independent woman with a mix of stuck-up and down-to-earth.
Martin was the street smart hustler with a gift of gab, but lacked the sophistication that Gina possessed.  Despite these differences, Gina was always the ride or die chick and Martin would do anything for his “baby” no matter the cost.

The key to their successful relationship is the love and respect they had for one another.  Gina always let Martin be the man of the relationship no matter how unreasonable he was. Martin allowed Gina to be independent, feminine, and sexy.  She was the Queen of his Kingdom. They could have ended their relationship numerous times but they didn’t, showing that anything worth having is worth fighting for.

I’m not a true follower of the whole zodiac and astrology thing, but it is  quite scary how much truth can be found in this system of beliefs.  So I’m a Aries and apparently I fall in love record breaking fast.  According to astrology, I’m the type to rush into love.  When I take the time to look back on my past relationships,  this love drunk description of my zodiac sign seems accurate.  For example, as a junior in high school, I only knew a guy for  two weeks before he became my boyfriend.  We broke up a month later.

My past relationship that recently ended terribly, brings more truth to the Ariean “rush for love” stereotype.  My ex and I began dating the second month of knowing another.  In addition, I was just a freshman (I chose commitment over the freshman experience).  For three years we ran together strong.  Unfortunately by the end of that third year, the relationship took a toll and had an abrupt ending.  With the way things ended between us,  I questioned whether it was the right choice to jump into a relationship so impulsively.

The first three months of a relationship is considered the honeymoon phase.  Supposedly, a partner’s true self becomes exposed after the honeymoon phase.  Then to make matters more complicated, it is said to take six months to a year to really know your significant other.  However, it is common that this process could take longer.  So if I waited several months longer, would it have been possible to pen point the red flags that ultimately caused the demise of the relationship?  Would waiting have saved me the trouble?
